Under The City

Many settlements are built on top of one another. We get to experience them in many ancient routed cities within urban landscapes, but experiencing the underground landscape can be a unique experience. This picture is from Catania's ancient theatre. A theatre that you think you just saw its ruins in the square 5 minutes ago, but suprise! It's in the garden of the restaurant you've just past, under the building you've just entered or somewhere else:) It's a unique experience to have frames of the city above from the tunnels of the theatre while you are wandering around. Like inception: One history inside another one:)
